Assistant Filler Operator

Position Overview: 

The Assistant Filler Operator supports the production process of our fluid milk plant by efficiently managing jug and case supply, operating labeling equipment, and ensuring the cleanliness of production areas. Reporting to the Production Manager, this role is essential in maintaining smooth operations and upholding ADL’s safety, quality, and efficiency standards.

Work Environment:

The Assistant Filler Operator will work in a production setting, involving hands-on tasks such as lifting, cleaning, and operating equipment. The role requires attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols to maintain ADL’s high-quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Retrieve and organize labels, jugs, and empty cases to prepare for production.
  • Operate jug machine and labeler to manage jug supply on the conveyor.
  • Set up and adjust labeling equipment, ensuring “Best Before” dates are accurate.
  • Clean and maintain all areas of equipment, including the labeler, floors, and walls.
  • Set up and initiate line wash and perform extra cleaning as needed.
  • Restock cleaning supplies and monitor inventory.
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Conduct visual inspections to maintain cleanliness and prevent contamination.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Participate in all required training programs for operational and safety standards.
  • Assist in operational and safety training for new employees as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Experience in a production or manufacturing environment, food processing experience is a plus.
  • Physical ability to perform demanding tasks safely in a production setting.
  • Attention to detail for accurate equipment operation, cleaning, and paperwork.
  • Commitment to safety, following all protocols and company procedures.
  • Effective communication skills to support teamwork and collaboration.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn in a dynamic production environment.
