Merchandising Supervisor

Position Overview:
As the Merchandising Supervisor, you will oversee and coordinate merchandising activities for ADL’s high-quality dairy products and affiliated brands at major grocery retailers across Charlottetown. This role is critical in maintaining product availability, freshness, and quality while leading a team of merchandisers to ensure flawless execution of merchandising strategies. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will work closely with retail partners and internal teams to enhance brand visibility and customer satisfaction.

- Oversee merchandising activities for ADL dairy products in major grocery stores across Charlottetown.
- Ensure accurate product placement, pricing, and adherence to quality standards.
- Maintain inventory freshness through FIFO rotation and removal of short-dated items.
- Lead and manage a team of merchandisers, including scheduling, payroll, and performance feedback.
- Foster strong relationships with store and department staff.
- Support stores with order placement and delivery coordination.
- Monitor cooler conditions and ensure compliance with company and safety standards.
- Complete administrative tasks, including paperwork and reporting, accurately and on time.
- Availability to work early mornings, with scheduled days off on Wednesday and Sunday.
- Knowledge of HACCP standards and comfort working in a refrigerated environment.
- Proven experience in merchandising, preferably with a focus on dairy or other perishable products.
- Prior supervisory experience leading a team in a retail or merchandising environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially in handling inventory and paperwork.
- Familiarity with DSD (Direct Store Delivery) retail ordering and inventory rotation practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to give feedback and foster collaboration.
- Ability to operate safely and efficiently in a retail environment while adhering to company and safety standards.
