Position Overview:
We are hiring a Purchasing Agent to support our Procurement team at ADL Water St. on a temporary, full-time basis for a 15-month term. Reporting to the Corporate Supply Chain Manager, this role is responsible for processing purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring inventory is well-managed to support production. This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in procurement, supply chain, or logistics who enjoys working in a structured environment and collaborating with different teams. The role requires strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively to keep purchasing operations running smoothly.
Compensation and Benefits:

- Identify supply risks and coordinate with internal teams to prevent shortages or delays.
- Obtain price quotes and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing.
- Resolve supplier issues, including delivery delays or order discrepancies.
- Communicate with vendors to obtain pricing, resolve issues, and maintain strong relationships.
- Collaborate with production, warehouse, and logistics teams to align inventory with operational needs.
- Maintain purchasing records and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Experience in procurement, supply chain, or logistics—a strong understanding of purchasing processes is preferred.
- Attention to detail—accuracy in tracking orders and managing inventory is key.
- Good communication skills—able to ask the right questions, share updates, and work effectively with vendors and internal teams.
- Problem-solving mindset—can anticipate issues and find solutions when needed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with purchasing or inventory systems is an asset.
- Organized and dependable, able to manage priorities effectively.
