Driver/Sales (Term Position March – October 2020)

Location: Summerside, PE
Amalgamated Dairies Limited (ADL) is a producer owned co-operative with dairy processing and retail food distribution facilities throughout PEI. Founded in 1953, ADL is one of the largest food processors on PEI with markets located across Canada and globally. Job Summary:
The primary role of the Driver/Sales is to deliver and sell ADL products to business customers.
- Perform truck safety inspection at the beginning of the shift.
- Load truck for delivery and ensure the product is safe for transport.
- Deliver to specified customer locations within a geographic area.
- Deliver appropriate products/amount to businesses.
- Merchandise products on store shelves and remove out of date products.
- Prepare invoice and credit memo when applicable and have invoice signed/collect payment.
- Promote new product lines and look for business opportunities.
- Unload truck at the end of the route.
- Complete daily paperwork and upload a handheld unit.
- Balance inventory and cash each shift and forward it to the office for processing.
- Other related duties as required.
- Customer service experience
- Previous delivery experience
- Good writing and communication skills required.
- Computer skills required.
- Must be able to fulfill the physical requirements of the position.
- High school diploma/GED.
- Class 1A driver’s license preferred.
