Assistant Filler Operator
Type: Permanent, Full Time
Location: ADL St. Eleanors, 36 Greenwood Drive, Summerside, PE

Position Overview:
The Assistant Filler Operator supports daily operations by placing milk cartons into crates, maintaining equipment cleanliness, and assisting with wash cycles. Reporting to the Production Manager, the Assistant Filler Operator helps ensure safe, smooth, and consistent production.
Schedule:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, rotating between shifts from 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM and 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM. Shifts may run later depending on production needs.

- Move empty crates into the production room in preparation for filling
- Fill crates with two-liter milk containers and stack five to six high
- Clean and maintain the 2-liter filler machine and prepare for line wash
- Set up and operate Cleaning-in-Place (CIP) systems for mix tanks and production lines
- Disassemble, clean, and reassemble valves
- Complete required documentation accurately and on time
- Follow all safety and operational procedures
- Participate in required training programs
- Assist in training new employees when needed
- Perform other production-related duties as assigned
- Physically prepared for production work — including repetitive lifting, extended standing, and working in warm, humid conditions
- Communicates clearly and effectively with team members and supervisors to support safe operations, proper material handling, and adherence to food safety protocols
- Follows procedures exactly as required — every task performed with care, accuracy, and a clear understanding of its impact on product quality and team safety
- Dependable and accountable — consistently present, properly equipped, and focused from start to finish
- Flexible within assigned duties — able to handle various responsibilities including crate handling, equipment cleaning, and assisting with wash cycles
- Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work environment — tools, equipment, and materials are handled properly at all times
- Previous experience in food production or physical labour is an asset
- High school diploma or GED preferred
