For 70 years, we have processed fresh milk from PEI farms to produce premium dairy products, including milk, cheese, cream, butter, and ice cream. Are you a logistics enthusiast ready to lead the way? We are currently seeking a dedicated Shipper/Receiver Lead Hand to take on a pivotal role within our dynamic Shipping and Receiving Team. Based at our West Royalty, Charlottetown location, this position offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of operations.

Position Overview:

The Shipper/Receiver Lead Hand holds the primary responsibility for receiving, organizing, and storing milk and other products manufactured and housed within the plant, preparing them for distribution. They also play a crucial role in overseeing the work and schedules of warehouse employees, as well as controlling the flow of products in and out of the warehouse.

Wage Rate: $22.38 – $23.38 / hour + comprehensive benefits including:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Help ensure crew adherence to policies and procedures
  • Assist with preparing and loading delivery trucks
  • Handle unloading and restocking of driver trucks
  • Organize and rotate fresh milk products
  • Manage the shipping process accurately and promptly
  • Pick and process customer orders with precision
  • Receive and inspect incoming products for quality and accuracy
  • Oversee product ordering and maintain inventory levels
  • Conduct regular stock checks and maintain accurate records
  • Handle paperwork using computer programs for accuracy
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the work area
  • Perform start-up visual inspections for equipment and cleanliness
  • Ensure all duties are performed safely and efficiently
  • Help ensure shipping staff participate in required operational and safety training
  • Complete required training programs and certifications
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:
  • Warehouse experience, preferably in a leadership role, with strong supervisory skills
  • In-depth knowledge of safety policies, procedures, and industry compliance
  • Exceptional organizational skills, including attention to detail and adaptability to fast-paced environments
  • Clear and effective communication abilities, both verbal and written
  • Physical stamina, capable of heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing
  • Proficiency in basic technical operations, including warehouse management software and equipment
  • Problem-solving skills for addressing real-time issues
  • Customer service proficiency for client interactions and order handling
  • Commitment to hygiene, quality control, and industry-standard practices
  • Proactive approach, showing initiative in anticipating and overcoming challenges
  • Ability to provide training, development, and effective team management
