Are you a logistics enthusiast ready to lead the way? We are currently seeking a dedicated Shipper/Receiver Lead Hand to take on a pivotal role within our dynamic Shipping and Receiving Team. Based at our West Royalty, Charlottetown location, this position offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of operations.
Position Overview:
The Shipper/Receiver Lead Hand holds the primary responsibility for receiving, organizing, and storing milk and other products manufactured and housed within the plant, preparing them for distribution. They also play a crucial role in overseeing the work and schedules of warehouse employees, as well as controlling the flow of products in and out of the warehouse.
Wage Rate: $22.38 – $23.38 / hour + comprehensive benefits including:

- Help ensure crew adherence to policies and procedures
- Assist with preparing and loading delivery trucks
- Handle unloading and restocking of driver trucks
- Organize and rotate fresh milk products
- Manage the shipping process accurately and promptly
- Pick and process customer orders with precision
- Receive and inspect incoming products for quality and accuracy
- Oversee product ordering and maintain inventory levels
- Conduct regular stock checks and maintain accurate records
- Handle paperwork using computer programs for accuracy
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the work area
- Perform start-up visual inspections for equipment and cleanliness
- Ensure all duties are performed safely and efficiently
- Help ensure shipping staff participate in required operational and safety training
- Complete required training programs and certifications
- Perform additional duties as required.
- Warehouse experience, preferably in a leadership role, with strong supervisory skills
- In-depth knowledge of safety policies, procedures, and industry compliance
- Exceptional organizational skills, including attention to detail and adaptability to fast-paced environments
- Clear and effective communication abilities, both verbal and written
- Physical stamina, capable of heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing
- Proficiency in basic technical operations, including warehouse management software and equipment
- Problem-solving skills for addressing real-time issues
- Customer service proficiency for client interactions and order handling
- Commitment to hygiene, quality control, and industry-standard practices
- Proactive approach, showing initiative in anticipating and overcoming challenges
- Ability to provide training, development, and effective team management
