Part Time Merchandiser

Amalgamated Dairies Limited (ADL) is a producer-owned, independent cooperative that operates dairy processing and retail food distribution facilities throughout PEI. For 70 years, we have processed fresh milk from PEI farms to produce premium dairy products, including milk, cheese, cream, butter, and ice cream. Our quality dairy products are in kitchens and restaurants across PEI and Canada.

Do you thrive on arranging products effectively, ensuring they’re placed at the right time and in the right quantities? We’re seeking a dependable Retail Merchandiser to join our team and make a meaningful impact on our company’s accomplishments.

Position Overview:

The Retail Merchandiser will ensure that products appear in the right store, at the appropriate time and in the correct quantities. This involves working closely with the buying teams to accurately forecast trends, plan stock levels and monitor performance.

Hours: Available for evening shifts (4pm onwards) preferred with weekends availability

Wage Rate: $16.54 / hour and phone allowance


Key Responsibilities:
  • Restock, rotate company products following store planograms.
  • Maintain clean product space and remove damaged or out of date product.
  • Keep product tidy and organized in coolers.
  • Complete and submit any required paperwork.
  • Follow all Company and Store policies regarding merchandising product, sign in/out procedures and safety.
  • Act as an Ambassador by providing customer service to Consumers and store personnel by answering questions, locating product, and providing assistance as needed.

Qualifications:
  • A reliable mode of transportation for traveling between various retail stores in the area.
  • Experience working in grocery, retail, warehousing, or related field.
  • Previous merchandising experience would be considered an asset.
  • Previous experience working with manual or powered pallet jacks or certification would be considered an asset.
  • Able to perform labor intensive work.
  • Detail oriented – able to read and understand store planogram.

Education and Training:
  • Previous experience working with manual or powered pallet jacks or certification would be considered an asset.
