For 70 years, we have processed fresh milk from PEI farms to produce premium dairy products, including milk, cheese, cream, butter, and ice cream. Our quality dairy products are in kitchens and restaurants across PEI and Canada.
Position Overview:
Are you passionate about ensuring high-quality food production? Join our team as a Process Operator, where you’ll play a crucial role in our milk processing operations. You will be responsible for the pasteurization of milk and by-products, maintaining and cleaning equipment, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. - Operate and monitor machines to pasteurize milk and produce by-products, mix ingredients, track product types, record temperatures, and transfer batches to storage tanks.
- Sanitize equipment by running the sanitizing process using the computer system and changing parts on the equipment as necessary.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Conduct visual inspections of equipment and facilities at the start of each shift to ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance.
- Oversee the receipt of raw milk deliveries, conduct quality tests, and perform antibiotic testing.
- Execute cleaning procedures for tanks, pipes, and machines, and verify the strength of cleaning chemicals.
- Accurately complete all required documentation in a timely manner.
- Complete scheduled maintenance tasks in accordance with the maintenance plan.
- Successfully complete all required training programs and provide operational and safety training to employees as needed.
- Compile lists of products scheduled for packaging.
- Perform additional related tasks as required.
- Skilled at identifying and fixing equipment issues, working effectively with the Maintenance team.
- Experienced in performing preventive maintenance tasks.
- Familiar with milk processing operations, including receiving and sanitation.
- Able to accurately complete all necessary documentation.
- Knowledgeable about Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) protocols.
- Previous experience in a production or manufacturing setting is a plus.
- Comfortable using computers for operational tasks and documentation.
- Strong ability to work well with others.
- Willing to take and complete work-related courses and training.
