Quality Assurance Supervisor

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor responsible for the consistent implementation of food safety and quality standards across ADL’s facilities. Reporting to the Quality Control Manager, the QA Supervisor supports quality oversight across multiple sites by conducting inspections, preparing for and attending audits, and ensuring quality issues are investigated and followed up appropriately. Regular travel across ADL locations is required, including increased on-site presence during audit periods.

- Ensure SOPs, quality records, and documentation are accurate, complete, and audit-ready
- Investigate customer complaints and quality deviations; initiate corrective actions and coordinate follow-up with shift supervisors, escalating to the Quality Control Manager as needed
- Identify patterns, gaps, or inconsistencies in quality practices across sites and escalate findings to the Quality Control Manager
- Perform internal audits and inspections covering production areas, packaging, storage, and sanitation practices
- Prepare for regulatory and third-party audits, accompany inspectors on-site, and follow through on required actions
- Deliver food safety training and contribute quality input in cross-functional meetings and deviation discussions
- Supervise the Cleaning and Laundry team, including staff coordination, payroll approval, and scheduling
- Conduct regular site visits across ADL’s facilities to verify follow-up on quality issues and reinforce consistent application of standards
- Experience working in a food manufacturing environment with exposure to food safety programs
- Working knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and relevant regulatory and audit standards; experience with BRCGS or third-party audits is considered a strong asset
- Proven ability to investigate quality issues, identify root causes, and follow through on corrective actions
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate, thorough documentation and records
- Ability to communicate technical and food safety requirements clearly to varied audiences, from production teams to regulatory inspectors
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and stay organized across multiple sites
- Demonstrated ability to supervise a small team, provide constructive feedback, and adapt effectively to changing priorities and team dynamics.
- Post-secondary education in Food Science, Food Safety, Microbiology, or a related field; equivalent industry experience will be considered
