Position Overview: 

The Shipper plays a critical role in maintaining the flow of products in and out of the facility. This position is responsible for the accurate handling, organization, and movement of dairy products, including loading and unloading trucks, picking and preparing orders, and maintaining product integrity through proper storage and rotation. The role requires a high level of attention to detail, physical capability, and a strong commitment to safety, cleanliness, and efficiency in a temperature-controlled warehouse environment.

Work Environment and Schedule:

  • Fast-paced production and logistics environment.
  • Physical tasks including lifting, operating pallet jacks, and maintaining cleanliness.
  • Adherence to safety protocols and teamwork required.
  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday:
    • Either 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM or 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM (based on operational needs)
  • Alternating mid-week or weekend shift:
    • You will either work Wednesday or Saturday, not both in the same week
    • Saturday shifts typically end around 1:00 PM, but may go longer depending on workload

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load and unload trucks, organize pallets, and handle returns
  • Pick and prepare orders based on delivery schedules and load sheets
  • Receive incoming products, check accuracy, and store them properly
  • Rotate and stock products in refrigerated, frozen, or dry areas
  • Use handheld devices and computers for inventory and order processing
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of docks, coolers, and equipment
  • Follow all food safety, quality, and workplace safety procedures
  • Complete paperwork accurately and on time
  • Assist with training and support other warehouse tasks as needed

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations
  • Physically capable of lifting, standing for long periods, and working in cold, fast-paced environments
  • Able to operate pallet jacks and handle palletized loads safely and efficiently
  • Working knowledge of food safety, workplace safety, and sanitation procedures
  • Proficient with handheld scanners and basic computer systems used for inventory and order processing
  • Strong attention to detail, with consistent accuracy in order picking and documentation
  • Reliable and self-directed, with a strong sense of accountability and urgency
  • Available for early morning shifts, weekends, and flexible scheduling based on operational needs
  • Communicates clearly and effectively with team members and supervisors to support safe operations, proper material handling, and adherence to food safety protocols
