Amalgamated Dairies Limited (ADL) is a producer-owned, independent cooperative with dairy processing plants and a retail food distribution facility spread throughout PEI. For over 70 years, we have processed fresh milk from PEI farms to produce premium dairy products, including milk, cheese, cream, butter, and canned milk. Our quality dairy products are in kitchens and restaurants across PEI and Canada.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive Shipper/Receiver to join our team at ADL West Royalty. In this role, you will manage the organization, preparation, and distribution of milk and other products within our plant. You will oversee the control of products entering and leaving the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. - Prepare and load products for delivery trucks, ensuring accuracy for delivery routes
- Unload driver trucks, manage returns, and record out-dated products
- Organize and rotate milk products in the refrigerator, maintaining freshness
- Pick and process orders, generate load sheets, and adjust orders as needed
- Receive and inspect incoming products, verify paperwork, and place products in designated storage areas
- Order products from various companies as needed
- Utilize computer systems for inventory management and order processing
- Perform regular cleaning and sanitizing of work areas to maintain cleanliness and organization
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and timely
- Conduct start-up visual inspections for equipment and work areas
- Adhere to all safety regulations, policies, and procedures
- Provide operational and safety training for employees
- Perform other related duties as required
- Experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse operations
- Ability to work in a cold environment and perform physical tasks
- Ability to work flexible hours and shifts
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Basic computer skills for inventory management and order processing
- Attention to detail and accuracy in completing paperwork
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
